Descent is DEEEEcent by Flavio 08/20/2006, 9:11pm PDT Suspenseful first half, second half devolves into merely OKAY slasher. Could have been so much better if they took the Blar Witch approach and explored the creepier, less obvious possibility that was almost suggested but never explored (that the monsters were in her/their heads and the main character had actually snapped and killed everyone). Decent flick, lots and lots of wasted potential, most likely because some focus group "didnt get it" and thought the more interesting plotline was "too confusing". The theater I was at had a ton of MST3k wannabes that I assume spilled over from the sold out Snakes on a Plane show to yell DONT GO IN THERE a lot, so I blame them.
