Is it too much to ask for EA to find ONE person in their entire company who has actually played so much as a pickup game of basketball? Someone that shot mini-balls into a too-small hoop at a circus? Someone who has tossed a wadded-up kleenex into a garbage can rather than walk over and carefully place it into the trash?
That should be everyone's entire review of the game. There's obviously nobody involved with the product that has ever played the game in any form, so why should anyone pay $54.99 for their take on basketball? Career ending performance for Electronic Arts -- not that it matters, as millions of dumb fuckers will continue to spend $60 for roster updates and the stupid shit described in that link. There's been two marginally playable EA Sports games since 1995 -- Madden 96 for the Genesis and NHL 98 for the PC. The developers, designers and testers really do deserve to get treated like shit -- they obviously don't matter and they have become a company dominated by its (very successful) marketing.
All right, I'm done nerd raging.
