None of the above. It was a subtle dig on the fact that Irrational figured you might not get the impression that the aliens (bio experiments?) were evil and bad and horrible unless they gave them cloven hooves, as my post, titled "CLOVEN HOOVES!", subtly suggested.
I don't sleep with my gun collection so I really couldn't care less if the weapons in the game are 50 years old.
Then again that sounds like setup to rationalize why they all fall apart after a few shots. I can just picture it now.
"Your soldier character can't fire guns because he's been trained on modern weapons, and these are ancient heirlooms! That's why you have to invest experience in figuring them out! And they're all rusted and stuff, so you'll have to research old technical manuals to learn how to maintain them." |
