would have been a much more appropriate name for this game based on my first 23 hours.
Lockpicks - It seems like everyone has their own system, but here's what works for me:
The tumblers have 3 speeds of descent. Tap each one until it falls down at the fastest speed, then on the next tap click when the tumbler is at it's peak. I can't be sure, but I think the security skill buys you a few miliseconds of slop in the timing as you level it.
Thievery - if you're anything like me then a lifetime of shitty stealth missions has your muscle memory flinching for F9 everytime you're spotted by guards trying to lift the package. And grabbing that thing before the other two thieves wasn't too hard, it was one of them ratting me out to the police what raised the difficulty. But I said fuck it and just booked, and was able to make it back to Armande with about 9 city watch in tow. Then I was "in" and had access to the "bribe the judge" option and wiped my record clean. The amusing part is walking past those same 9 city watch guys, all still in line with their swords held above their heads, greeting me cordially. "Well met, citizen!"
