Battlefield 2 Special Forces: New weapons here I come, you fuckers. I'm not playing this until I complete my new computer, the Motherhead 9000, but I'm looking forward to the new maps mostly.
Dawn of the Dead (remake): Unrated Director's Cut: I asked for this because not only do I want to see the unrated version of this pretty good movie with extras, I want to put the DVD on my shelf beside Dawn of the Dead Collector's Edition Director's Cut, Dawn of the Dead Anniversary Edition Theatrical Cut, and the Anchor Bay Dawn of the Dead DiviMax Edition... for maximum ridiculousness.
Computer Chair: Speaking of ridiculous, I assigned Operation Computer Chair to my dad because I knew he'd spend some good money on a chair in which I'll spend 12 hours a day, and his taste is what I call "luxury fascade", so I know I'll get a kick out of whatever dumb chair he picks. He would never buy a Herman Miller chair because he doesn't know better and those chairs are clearly cheap, what with their see-through fabric and flimsy looks! He came through for me and now I sit in a bulky puffy chair of "plush chenille", which I liken to "almost velour". On the downside, this black fabric has enough static-electricity to power a small house for mice people, and has revealed that I'm maybe losing my hair and possibly have dandruff.
"The Acme Novelty Library" by Chris Ware: I'm a big fag for Chris Ware, who's basically a genius, and focuses all of his comics on life sucking and how we're all pathetic and stupid and how things used to be better but they still sucked then too. I'm not sure what the genesis of this random collection of self-contained comics and tidbits is exactly (a collection of older comics perhaps?), but it's great to pick up and read for 20 minutes here and there. Sometimes the pages are so densely packed with doodles and depressing writing that 20 minutes can be spent on just two pages. It's also good that I limit it to 20 minute segments so that I don't jump out a window.
Ghostworld (the comics): I love the movie, and the comic was a great surprise to read because the story deviates quite a bit from the film version while having the exact same feel and mood and point. In a way, it's like seeing a sequel to the movie, but it's a whole new angle instead of a continuation of the tale.
Beefeater LIME gin: In the era of the lime infusion, this product is such an obvious choice, I wonder how it took so long to appear. Gin is something you actually put lime juice into. No longer! Productivity is way up now that I can skip my lime step. When I combine this time savings with a dual processor, the sky is the limit. I will probably get 5% better at BF2.
Motorola RAZR: Technically I bought this for myself, but it was close to Christmas and I just want an excuse to talk about this: it charges from a standard USB cable hooked up to a PC. Awesome!
Toolbox: Inside the toolbox are tools! A duplicate of every tool I've ever received individually over past Christmases, including my yearly ratchet set, bringing my ratchet set total to four.
