Good luck getting it from ME though, pal, because I'm a motherfuckin' MADMAN with that new assault kit.
While it's total cocksuckery to "introduce" the new content through an otherwise useless patch, it's worth pointing out that the new guns are pretty much just remixes of other weapon kits...with the notable exception of the Assault kit which gets:
+ The incomparably cool F2000, featuring at least as much stopping power as the M4, equal accuracy(high), a scope(!) and 5 grenades for the attached launcher.
+ instead of the lone, pointless smoke grenade you get 5 flashbangs that render everyone within the generous area of effect totally useless for 8-10 seconds, even if they're in a tank or helicopter.
+ the same body armor as the other assault kits, just in case someone actually manages to get a shot off at you.
I'd rather see them go ahead and disable the new content for all non-SF servers altogether, but they'll probably just nerf the F2000 kit while mysteriously increasing load times in the next patch. The other guns are cool, but nothing really better than what's already laying around. |
