The Mysterio beat me to the "sexual predilictions of the Romans have no bearing on my hard on" argument, and I don't see how that fails to apply to Europeans and Americans through the mid-1800s. Their opions have no more validity in this discussion than those of stone age people with their earth mother figurines.
