The decision isn't ours to make, it's the console-makers, who will listen to the voice of applied economics rather than reason. Hmm, those two are actually easy to confuse with one another...
Whatever the case may be, as I said, it's entirely out of our hands. In the end it's still a competitive market, odds are there'll be a console both standards in some way, shape or form. I'm sure most of us ended up with both a PS2 and an Xbox, after all, it didn't make much difference wether one could play DvDs for free while the other you had to get (like all things Microsoft) an upgrade. |
