1st thoughts: left handed people, rejoice; Starfox is going to be awesome on this; FPS can be taken to another level; light-gun games renaissance.
I noticed this with the DS, especially Mario, I was ridicuously better at it than my friend, all because I'm left handed. Well, that and he didn't bother changing the control scheme to better suit right handers.

Ask yourself one question. How much do you feel like playing a new-zelda/mario, same as the old-zelda/mario, except this time straining your elbows as well as your wrists?
Yeah, I can barely handle the level of immersion games have now (insert hilarious anecdote about analysing areas for stealth opportunities after playing Sons of Liberty and getting motion sickness from the lack of HUD in real life after MechWarrior), let alone when I actually have to recreate the movements. The physical aspect is gonna be a terror as well, my limbs are already crumbling away from years of abuse :(
The bit about doing what you've done hundreds of times before: It's been going on for years, hell, pretty much every game in the RTS genre is the same game but with different goblins and tanks, it's just got nicer to look at. |
