Back when I used to read gaming sites, it used to be that whenever id would announce a new game or show off their new engine, people would always say "I CAN'T WAIT FOR RAVEN TO MAKE A GAME WITH IT." I haven't played Doom3, but I always liked id games, so this struck me as a bit odd, especially when Raven seemed to do nothing but make extremely average and often ugly shooters. I suppose I liked Heretic 2 (never finished it) and really enjoyed the first level of SoF, so I guess this makes them exceptional mod makers, until you factor in all the development money they were paid. |
