We are late on this one, but yes. :( by Creexul :( 07/17/2005, 3:20pm PDT We borrowed a Gamecube and then we were like, hm we heard that Resident Evil 4 is good yes? Let's rent it. So we did and the entire game is not only NOT gay "insert the mysterious jewel into the door to unlock it to further backtrack into fetch quests," but the jewels you find are to be sold in order to purchase weapons that make bigger blood and alien goo sprays all over the fuckin PLANET when you are blasting sick muthafuckin subhumans into paste. That's definitely a better use of jewels. In the previous RE games, the gun system was just another type of puzzle to fit into the (gay) overly puzzleful gameplay. You had to hold R1 to activate gun mode, then hammer square or something to make it fire ON OCCASION. In this, you set a laser sight down on some poor fuckin loser and just fucking blowing people to shit. Which is awesome. It's almost more fun when you blast their head off into a cloud of blood and a crazy zombie alien creature grows out of it as the body continues to attack you, thinking that it's tricked you and ha ha now deal with this crazy super zombie enemy, and then you are like "psh so?" before making it glow with the laser and wiping it off the fucking planet. Another thing I like, that laser sight only shows the dot on things you CAN shoot, so you don't waste ammo on things you think you can shoot but can't. It takes all of the ammo-wasting guess work out of the game.
