To fag off on ES's response: Windows labels drives in "order". First IDE connector, master drive, primary partition is C:, First IDE connector slave drive, primary partition is D:, through all your master partitions. Then the 2nd IDE connector, primary partitions on master and slave drives. then you go back to the first drive, and label all the secondaries, then through each other drive labeling the secondaries. This gives you a great mess whereby you have something like:
1st drive: C,F,G
2nd drive: D,H,I
3rd drive: E,J
God why did I bother to write that all out? Other than overwhelming hatred, that is. |
