In terms of webtraffic measured in pageviews per month, Cortana (MT server admin) has told me they get roughly 50x ours, or 1/3 Slashdot's.

What's really sad is that Vaz of Under Power who really fucking deserves that level of fandom doesn't get a fraction of it.

Ain't saying that Megatokyo isn't wildly successful, just that the direct market for comics is sufficiently fucked that making it into the top 5 of graphic novels isn't going to be difficult for really any decently popular webcomic. Making a living off of it is another story.

Part of the reason that Underpower didn't catch on early might be that they used to go six months between updates.
