Yes, it did. Check out IGN's videos of the Japanese version (the March 7 videos), or just download the Japanese ROM (not that you're into that sort of thing). Normally I would just let it slide, but this has become such a widespread belief that it's only a matter of time before some angry otaku seize upon it as further evidence that philistine Westerners are systematically butchering any and all artifacts of Japanese culture they get their grubby white mitts on. In fact they probably already have.
