Hideo revealed his passion for the mullet, and though we were surprised, it was forgiven. Now all bets are off as Hideo fully reveals his true desire; his plan to recreate Rambo. This could've only been redeemed had he aimed for the era where Rambo was helping the Taliban. That would've at least stirred up some hornets. Instead it appears to be the "You. Not. Expendable!" era, with a little "surviving on things that would make a billygoat puke" from the first movie thrown in.
Video game "jungle" levels = Find the path the designer wanted you to take. Hey, this tree root is pretty tall, I guess I CAN'T GO OVER THERE.
To be fair to Rambo, the Taliban is a subset of the Mujadejin, so it's very possible he was helping a wholly different bunch of retrograde fanatics. Plus he was fighting Commies, and as we all know working with the devil himself is acceptable against them, so it wasn't really controversial Rambo-style. Now John Walker style, THAT would be an interesting game.
Anyone else here actually try to play through the Soldier of Fortune 2 jungle levels? That game fucking sucked. Urban levels are definitely more my bag. |
