There's a compendium of all the text adventures which are sitting on the IF Archive right here. I tried doing some digging with the search engine on that site, but nothing came up that seemed to be it. As it turns out, though, only IF that is actually on that archive will be indexed -- that includes some stuff like Scott Adams's adventures (as he has said that it's OK) but not any of the Infocom games. So if this Black Orb Dragon game is a commercial release, then it's probable that it won't have any info on it.

Do you know the approximate year it was released? Also, what system did you play it on?
