Which makes sense. Arnett mentioned the alarms going off 20 minutes prior, so *presumably* (not claiming I know here) a near-asleep Saddam literally got out of the bunker with like less than 15 minutes to spare before it was blown to shit then read off his on-the-spot transcript.

Makes a good amount sense to me, at least. If it was pre-recorded wouldn't they try to make him look commanding?

If you were watching MSNBC try to hook up with the initial recording, they had a bit of an intro with a little flag being pushed up the screen almost Monty Python style, to steal the reporter's dead-on description.
