There was no MONKEY SHINE IN THE MOON-JUNE BOTTLE attempt at playing a wannabe-Xaositect from Planescape in my post, so no, not CranGrape material.

My sister is a natural blonde with straight shoulder-length hair. Most warm-blooded males would describe her as 'hot' and 'very good-looking.' She's not a super model or anything - her face has just a little too much of that boney strong-German thing going on for that - it sorta works for me and REALLY works for my brother, but she'd be better off with a slightly more French facial structure, really. Same with her shoulders, very muscular.

To tell the truth, she looks a LOT like my old flame Aly, who has a few pics up on the net here and there so I don't mind sharing one of mine (my first date, awww). Trim Aly's shoulders a bit, and lose the very nice eyebrow facial structure in favor of shallower curvature and you'll wind up with something a lot like my sister.

Aly's family and my family and another family (which included a childhood friend of mine whom I am amazingly still friends with . . . for some 18 years now, I guess) all went camping together once or twice a year every year until I was like 16. From thirteen on it was sort of indicated to her and I by everyone around us that we would be a couple.

I'm at a loss to explain quite how the social circles of family, family friends, people you completely don't know but whom your parents worship, etc. quite work within the significantly-upper-crust white Republican America bit goes. There were and are a LOT of incredibly wealthy and smart people at that church (800-1600 people depending on the year), but to a significant degree it was where white people went to make connections (there was one elderly black couple ever truly welcomed into the social circles that I was aware of). I basically went to college free because I knew the dean of financial aid personally from that church.

Anyways, back off that tangent, we were 'expected' to be a couple. She had a major crush on me around thirteen. We joked about it to each other constantly and quite publicly - one of us ALWAYS had a boyfriend or girlfriend whenever the other was free, so we went for a few years back and forth and back and forth sitting around waiting for the other. Our families, pastors, relatives, people we didn't know - talked about it frequently around us. Finally, when I was 16 and had 2 dateless relationships (six months of tit-pawing, cocksucking, and love notes each) under my belt I took her to a dance (pictured). An ex was there and threw a huge fit (of course). "YOU NEVER TOOK ME TO A DANCE" and spluttery tears and the whole shebang.

We went on 'The Gulch' (no reference to Atlas Shrugged intended), the big youth group retreat that lasted a week where you went to a snow-filled hellhole with a ton of other teenagers and focused on worship and stuff like scavenger hunts until the end when the final score was announced and the winning team got some stupid prize. There were recurring teams and red team won every Gulch I went on. Anyways, a week together non-stop but unable to have 2 minutes alone the entire time but constantly in each other's presence and talking just fucked up the whole thing at that early stage. We snapped at each other, that was it. I was still madly in love with her, and since turning 16 she just wasn't quite THAT interested in me. She liked me, she would have fallen in love with me and knew it but . . . it needed some time, and circumstances are a bitch. She told me she felt like she had to throw the expectations of everybody else back in their faces and rub it around a little - she didn't vocalize that I was one of the people getting that treatment, but . . .

No recovery. I still like her a lot as a friend, and she's still pretty hot. We write occasionally, we're both trapped in our homes with little prospect of a job for the time being, and terribly lonely so there's commiseration.
