Let me tell you about the time I had to fight this shithead. (I may have told this story before on the old forums.)

My party had a ring of regeneration, and my cleric was for some reason really resistant to fire damage. Or something. I forget. Anyway I run in and immediately butcher the two Iron Golems that the boss guy had as if they were actually paper mache golems. Then we just start to FUCKING WHALE ON THE GUY. My party was pretty badass in the straight-up smake-people-with-swords area. We probably did a couple hundred points of damage to the guy in a matter of seconds. Maybe that's what broke the game?

He suddenly stops trying to fight back and just stoicly stands there taking a beating. Then he "Infernal Transports" his ass away, blasting my party with fiery flatulence. What the hell was that? Okay, we run over and continue the assraping. Infernal Trasport. Okay, my party is officially fucked up now. We're taking a breather while the ring slowly heals us. After having to take several breaks to regenerate, I became afraid that while my party was regenerating, maybe he was too. So I kept sending my cleric over to wiff pathetically and keep him occupied. Sometimes he'd manage to hurt her with his flame attack and sometimes she was able to hit him with her mace. Then when my party was good to go again, the cleric would retreat and we'd beat on him for a minute. I repeated this process for TWO MOTHERFUCKING HOURS. Then, when it seemed like the combat would never end, my cleric was swinging and missing and he decides to Infernal Transport. Only this time, he dies in the process. Does that mean he was taking damage from his own farts this whole time? WTF?

Not that it would surprise me if he did take damage, but did you have any weapons that inflict additional damage after it hits? You may have even hit him prior to the IT, but he managed to do it anyway; I've seen temporal gaffes like that in BIS games.

I killed that fag by giving all of my party members an Oil of Speed and a Potion of Fire Res, and gave one of my fighters the lowest AC possible. He ran up and engaged that fool first, then after the boss Dispelled Magic, we all drank our potions and everyone meleed him. He died pretty quickly - he didn't even get to IT once.

Actually, the first time I killed him was one my most dramatic RPG moments ever. My idiots were running all over, getting clobbered by that dude. I had my mage sacrifice herself by getting all the golems to surround and beat her to death. It killed my ranger and my mage/thief as they sacrificed themselves so my cleric could cast Heal on my fighter (who somehow had just one HP left.) She cast it, and right after she did (she only had a dozen or so HP), the boss killed her. He himself only had 30 or so HP, and I hit him once and he died. My fighter survived, alone, with all of his HP.

And then I reloaded right before the battle to play the stupid expansions.

BDR
