GLA, too good? Those tunnel networks seem a bit too good: instant troop transportation to anywhere on the map, machinegun defense included, a measly $200 price tag (once you factor in that it comes with 2 rocket infantry), and build time of ten(!!!) seconds. A GLA player can have an infantry mauling tunnel network at all the neutral buildings and supply areas before his opponent can even crank out his first vehicle.

Agree? disagree? counters?

I've seen a GLA player maul one of my 2vs2 allies with clever use of the GLA tunnels, however it seems the tunnels are all the GLA has to offer a player. Everything else just stinks, which ultimately evens things out in the long game. I think the 31% USA 36% CHINA 33% GLA win percentage that I see most days tells the story.

On the subject of overall strategy, I'm very very bad at taking over the map, and of course it's key. My style is to turtle, so seeing my human opponent setting up patriot batteries right outside my base or around supply drops is bad news brown. Knowing exactly when to expand and not worrying about defending against a rush is tricky.

Random thought:
Once China has the EMP against the USA it's ALL KINDS OF BAD NEWS. Not that the USA fuel air bomb isn't great (the 3 seconds between the bomb landing and the resultant explosion are the greatest 3 video game seconds of all time) but an EMP that removes all base defenses for a period of time? EMP + artillery + (unpunished!) airstrikes (Fussbett tip: from TWO airfields) + tanks waiting to clean up the mess. Normally enough power is knocked out that the patriots will be offline even once the EMP wears off.
