Planescape: Torment - if you know all the text nearly by heart - and if you do EVERY SINGLE POSSIBLE SIDEQUEST, POTENTIAL EXPERIENCE GAIN, AND POTENTIAL UPGRADE, AND POTENTIAL ALIGNMENT-SHIFTING ACTION - will take in the area of 100-150 hours. Trust me on this, I've done it once before and I'm doing it again right now... I've only played the game through to about halfway, much as I loved it, and I'm going to be restarting it as soon as I wrest some free time from my schedule.
But chances are I'll be the good little soldier when I play it again. Since you've gone through a lot of the variations, let me put this to you: if you play evil, do you remember your previous life as a good person, rather than the other way round? I've always wondered that.
I've never played it evil.
SPOILERS
Tends to decrease morale and get party members to leave. Playing that game without Dak'kon is near impossible for me - he's a free kick in the pants worth several levels RIGHT AT THE START OF THE GAME. Seriously, the first thing I do after burning through every possible XP and looting every item in the Mortuary when I play Planescape (starting stats always 18 wis, 17 int, the rest cha) is hit Mebbeth up for magery, run her chores, then swing down to the Smoldering Corpse to grab Dak'kon. Hit 'O' up for the cheap +1 wis. With a cranium rat in hand you're now ready to go talk to a githzerai townsperson and burn through ALL 8 circles of the Unbroken Circle
At this point, Dak'kon upgrades to godlike and you've gotten 32,300 XP right off the bat. Makes the 500xp subquests at that point in the game look a little fucking pathetic, doesn't it? You've now gone up a few levels right off the bat and can literally clear out ANYTHING the early game will throw at you without batting an eyelash. If you play evil you will LOSE Dak'kon and you can't afford to do that at this point - he's the ultimate bodyguard for the rest of the game.
/SPOILERS
The choice for me when I play is always Anarch (what my roleplaying self wants) or Godsmen (what my powergaming self wants). I go Godsmen most of the time, and my party is usually Morte, Dak'kon, Annah, Nordrom and Vhailor.
