| You would figure the narrow attacks would do more damage than the wide angle sweeping attacks.
Naaaah. In fact it seems like with every move, the wider the angle, the higher the damage? Cockslapped the supermarket on the very first run where I picked moves based solely on the angle stat. So a run turns into little more than the RNG giving you the sweep moves. It's like Contra giving you weapon choice and expecting anyone to never not pick the spread gun. Except the damage values for spread and laser are swapped. Then on top of that the RNG throws in the extra layer of loot rarity levels. Then the color bonus discourages variety and forces you into nothing but one color. Then you unlock the sequence bonus to further discourage any experimentation. It's like the anti-Godhand. |
