They put me under for a biopsy which didn't go as planned, but they were able to do two things:

1. Get some evidence that it's renal cell carcinoma, which I guess just kills your kidney until they yank it out, and probably not transitional cell carcinoma which kills all rest of the things in your body, and thus, you. So that's tentatively, relatively good news, and we now have a date for removing the offending organ, December 12.

2. Put in a "ureteral stent", the purpose of which is to make peeing an incredibly bloody, painful experience, I am guessing to keep your mind off of your impending organ removal.
