Dunno what MM saw in it. I didn't see any likeable characters. It's a heist story where the crew constantly fails through sheer idiocy, sometimes before they even start.
It's also painfully anime. Even more juvenile than Ghost in the Shell. Even the cringiest parts of Neuromamcer were less anime. It's Stupid Snowcrash, or Ready Player One without the pop nerd culture.
That could just leave the appeal of action scenes, but it's all the most boring slo mo shit. Castlevania was bad, but the character were slightly better and the action way better. |
