I can't say that it is better, I really can't. I was fortunate enough to get an Analogue Pocket, which is using FPGA for arcade games. Asteroids ... is fine, it plays OK, but the ship is a different color than the rocks. Q*bert has the screen going black when you get the green ball. M.A.M.E. hasn't had these quirks since 0.32, which was like 20 years ago.
