Now also fully addicted, thank you for the recommendation by Fullofkittens 04/09/2018, 6:17am PDT Highlights so far: On a "steal some MacGuffin" mission, using a "Visitor" teleporter to teleport from my pod, into the vault, and then back into my pod without setting foot on the space vessel, unlocking a specific achievement for doing that. Accidentally donking my ship into the target ship at interstellar speed, which is something that is extremely unlikely to happen, and yet still launched me into a OH SHIT YOUR SPACESHIP IS FALLING APART minigame where you have to hold various keys to repair various subsystems before the time runs out ("Hold left mouse button because that's not supposed to happen!?") Finding that as you make your way out of the starting zone there are big, obvious differences between the factions in terms of ship and station design, kinda neat The Just One More Level effect that Jonesy mentioned re: Superhot is absolutely a thing here, can't remember the last time I sat down to play a game for a half hour and then looked up and I had been playing it for 2.5 hours and it's 1 AM, Heat Signature is that game for me. NOTE FOR NEW PLAYERS: You are probably wondering what the point is of "Defector Missions" and what they buy you: the answer is that they're advanced tutorial missions. They don't buy you anything other than the satisfaction of having beaten them, but beating them will force you to learn a new game mechanic. One thing I'm struggling with right now: on a mission where I have an "armor piercing longblade," and it seems like I can kill some armored guys but not other armored guys(?).
