One was the last good game. by Worm 03/27/2018, 2:03pm PDT Recently when I tried to replay FC2 I picked up bandages before the tutorial told me to and it locked me out of progressing and I was unwilling to do the fucking Jeep ride again. That kind of shit combined with the rusty weapons, the farming, the walking, all that made me hate it. FC1 had none of that rusty weapon shit, no RPG shit, and good pacing. Sure it hit a low point when the monsters show up but I'll take that any day over how much FC2 bored me. Frankly I don't think the game was the same since FC1 and never will be. For FC2 It just felt like someone took an FPS and fed it through Daggerfall, somehow creating some mess of killing a rat (or griffin) that got stuck in someone's attic over and over. Though the way you're describing it reminds me of how all the loonies defend Kingdom Come being a buggy piece of shit and not having a proper save system, so we're probably going to have no common ground here.
