I found FC2 to be more immersive and challenging than FC3.
-Far Cry 2 doesn't allow you to mark and track enemies through walls
-Far Cry 2 doesn't allow you to instantly execute unsuspecting enemies with the press of a button, and chain executions together
-Far Cry 2 required you to hold an actual map in your hands, and didn't pause the game when you opened it
-Far Cry 2 didn't have any of the... lets call it "supernatural elements" present in FC1 and 3, and onwards
-Very limited fast travel in FC2.
-This last one is personal because I played FC2 on my PS3, but you could only save your game in safehouses, which upped the tension (and fun) for me
I don't think FC3 is a bad game by any means. I just happen to prefer Far Cry 2. |
