| Breeding Season never was really impressive for a game that had 42k a month going toward it and it could have been said it was 'complete' at any given beta stage, it was just some shitty menu based version of Harvest Moon. The real conflict was that the artist wanted the game to have dungeon elements and be more of a game so he took all the assets (which he contractually owned) and split. So that 42k a month for god knows how long is just lost to the ether and the art assets are being repurposed for a new game that has been eating 13k a month for a little over a year.
In the same way House Party is basically done. You can have sex with most the characters, it's voiced, and that's about it. The want to have some story creation system and let people make and download their own stuff, but this is pretty much all you're getting. It's gonna be one house, one set of guests, and one linear quest line to fuck em. So I don't even know if we can say someone is running off with the money in this new paradigm, since everything is always and never completed. |
