He has the amount turned off(I guess to stop people like me from patreon groaning) but the lowest tier is 1 dollar and the highest is 25 dollars, with beta access starting at 5 bucks, it's a safe guess that at 2000 ish backers he's over ten thousand a month. I'd suggest this is a void Japanese devs could fill, but if Yakuza's slow localization teaches you anything it's that most of them fucking hate the idea of Americans playing their games. The funniest thing is House Party is probably on the low end for this shit, Breeding Season was pulling in 42k a month before the artist ran away with all the assets over a dispute of how much scat to include in the game or something. Here's some reporting by Kotaku, you might have an issue with that but in the end I guess Patricia Hernandez's love of Werewolf dick and obsessively checking 4chan is why she earned the scoop and I respect that. The thing is all these games all suck and almost in all cases are eclipsed by any old random Japanese game, which are usually fully developed and superior as both video games and in erotic content. Compare that to some random ren'py game using poser renders that's getting 500 or more a month, it's almost mind blowing. I guess the big take away here is if you have no idea what you want to do with your life just throw up some badly made porno on patreon, you might get lucky. |
