Nobody would have given a hoot about "Trump University" if they had called it "Trump Real Estate Training." Basically the government has a somewhat precise definition of what a university is, and he wasn't following that. This is hardly the worst thing Trump has done. He actually filed a lawsuit "alleging that the attorney general's investigation was accompanied by a campaign donation shakedown." If he bribed the AG, it doesn't sound like he wanted to, or that he was quiet about it.
I can't believe I'm defending fucking Trump. I just hate when people recite sound bites.
I'm still looking for a reasonable take on the Clinton email handling thing. I honestly do not understand how big of a deal it truly was (or not).
I will say this, if you are expecting the Clintons to hand people fat sacks of cash with a dollar sign marked on them, you don't understand how the system works. Any bribes would come in the form of jobs given out, insider information and connections. |
