Otherwise you're just putting a big sign on yourself that says "SHOOT ME FIRST". In fact if your character's gimmick isn't some kind of invincibility spam, just leave them home. It's more like 10% of the terrain her jump isn't useful. You cannot jump straight up and hover stationary when the enemy team isn't distracted and contains many long range shooters, yes. Otherwise she's deadly if they're distracted and almost half the roster can't even touch her when she's high up. How to win every map (because every map is either payload or point capture -- a grand total of TWO GAME MODES): Nobody played DotA games until the wildly successful Dominion and ARAM modes came about...what? Reinhardt, Bastion, Mercy, and three other shooters. I don't care which one. Every person hides behind Reinhardt's shield and Bastion turrets up from the cover and hoses everyone down with minigun fire. It's been common knowledge for quite some time that Lucio is by far the best healer. Mercy is actually the worst (less overall healing than Lucio, no other boosts, zero offense, ult tricky to use effectively without wasting it) and is only used a lot because she's the most straight forward and familiar, a copy of the TF2 medic (also the reason teams are saturated with Widows). Not launching with CTF is criminal. If your FPS can't be balanced around a CTF mode consider making another game, like a DOTA clo---oh, they already did that. What was the last PC FPS to give a shit about capture the flag? Tribes 2? Quake 2? 3? |
