This is proving to be almost exactly the game I wanted The Dark Spire to be. It's great fun exploring synergistic combinations of party members, I strongly suggest the first thing you upgrade for any party member is to unlock all 7 skills so you can mix and match based on party setup.

Yet despite the game's opening difficulty disclaimer and all the subsequent reviews talking about being fucked by the RNG, I'm still finding this to be the most manageable roguelite I've ever played (outside of deterministic Invisible Inc). You can retreat from battle at any point, and retreat the entire mission with the only cost being a little stress damage. With a large roster of heroes on constant rotation, they should heal most stress damage on their own without spending a mint on hookers and prayer.

Meanwhile the enemy design matches the horror visuals so much better than Dark Spire. I stumbled on the collector mid-boss in a recent run and it freaked the hell out of me, mostly because Mystics in Bali gave me nightmares as a kid.
