I agree with everything you said, but. BUT.

I didn't follow the Kickstarter campaign at all. My understanding is that Sandi Gardiner ran the campaign. I have no idea why she is being brought into any of this. She constructed a campaign that netted, what, $90 million dollars. The salaries of the guys that actually played in last Sunday's game for the New Orleans Saints amounted to $74 million. She out-competed a professional football team.

Sure, the rest of it looks like a clownboat - a boat of clowns, if you will - but she did her job. There is no way Wing Commander is the most popular franchise of all-time and this just ran itself. The crowdfunding for this is the work of a genius.
