I'm not too into the Batman comparison because it sounds like people are equating player characters that can do a lot of things (or "have a lot of verbs" as we say in the... nobody says that) as Batman. The wizard from Baldur's Gate can do a lot of things by the end of the game, but he or she isn't Batman. Other non-Batman things would be the full two-minutes of camera time where he, er, murders all those guys. :)


Batman has a lot of verbs that he uses to stealthily launch himself into a crowd of goons and beat the ever loving shit out of them, WITH gadgets but FOR justice grr wavy text to indicate growling. So really he only has one verb, to batman. I don't think cyberpunk batman killed that first group of guys because you can still see them wriggling around which is like batman shorthand for it's okay they all had parachutes. The second group of guys he totally killed though, which means he's finally living up to the nihilistic ethos implied by the "punk" part of cyberpunk batman, simultaneously distancing himself from lameass old-timey Adam West Batman and reverse-distancing himself from badass near-future Frank Miller Batman.
