That was the Raiders' strategy that year. Knock out as many starting quarterbacks as you can and then try to beat the backup. (I only remember this because they did it to the Saints and gave rise to the Aaron Brooks era.) I was very obsessed with how dirty they played back then, loving it when Siragusa sat on Gannon, giving the Raiders a dose of their own medicine with Bobby Hoying going 8-16 with two picks in the remainder of the AFC Championship Game. I... I wasn't dating, then.
