Flack's kid hooked up an "Arduino" to a "thermometer" and has the thing tweeting. I don't know what an Arduino is (note to The Happiness Engine: this is because of me, not my Mac) (note to The Happiness Engine: It was actually just Rainlendar that doesn't let me adjust the windows, whoops) but it sounds like a device I need to have.
The blink(1) blinking when the Sabres have an "update" isn't very helpful, admittedly. There's also the question of - do you want the alert to be there till it goes away, or do you want it to flash and if you're not there to see it, too bad? The Caltrops one didn't stop itself last night, so for the entire evening it ended with a yellow light displaying in the upstairs office.
Actually, I have no idea why I set the Caltrops notification up. If I were trying to program and got "into the zone," a goddamn light telling me that bombMexico wrote a review on Mexicans would just distract me. I gotta think about this. And look up Arduinos.
