I have a bad habit of judging games on their presentation. It usually leads to me wasting a lot of time on boring trash like Bulletstorm or Dead Space. The (probably inaccurate) impression I got from watching a couple Youtube reviews of Verdict Day is that it's a shallow, clunky third-person shooter that exists mainly to justify a lot of very complex and immersive menu screens. If you're telling me it's actually a super fun robot game that just happens to involve a lot of very complex and immersive menu screens then sign me the fuck up, because that sounds like exactly the sort of prickly, underappreciated series I could imagine falling madly in love with. That is what you're telling me, right? Because my finger is hovering over the add to cart button as we speak O_O |
