Someone made Medieval 2: M&B Total Warband because they didn't know betterby fucking newbie 05/21/2013, 9:51am PDT
Now you can play a game of M2:TW (because you make poor choices) and have every battle be like something out of M&B. I know Caltrops barely gives a fuck about mods except but once in a blue moon, but I'm using what Commander Tacos taught me and posting it anyway. Thanks, Paul, you'll make a proper aspie of me yet!
Setting the technical accomplishment aside, who'd want to be faced with the false choice of fighting several dozen such battles each turn by midgame or letting the shitty autoresolve deal with it for them? Admittedly if we're modding some things we could fix autoresolve maybe, but it seems like the use of a moronic slog of repetitive battles as a means to extend playtimes and turn a shitty operational game into a strat is incredibly common.
Are there alternatives aside from Paradox titles which can make playing a strategy game just as much of a molasses-fast grind? At least CK2 and Victoria and all that shit have vaguely amusing event mechanics associated with playthroughs.
