I think electro house and dubstep (the popular kind) share an aesthetic timbrally and structurally, but have entirely different ideas about what to do with the beat. Electrohouse will play with its structure and go to the edge of breaking flow, but not past (ie Wolfgang Gartner - Firepower). Dubstep is just about fucking itself up without regard and abusing beatmatched lfos.
