Look, I'm sorry for every woman that had a rough day at work and didn't get paid as much as their male counterparts. I take care of this when I hire where I work (not at a video game place) and after everyone is hired.
John doesn't really understand why people are angry. He and a few other guys made the most popular video game site. He now wants it to be video games and gender politics and can't understand that there are adults out there (that would never leave a comment) who want to read about an upcoming game without all the drama.
Nobody is stopping the guy from starting a website about video game gender politics. He wants to leverage the eyeballs of the site that got popular for this other thing to talk about gender. Again, that's his right, he can do whatever he wants with RPS. I wish he'd understand that not everyone who dislikes what RPS has become thinks all women are whores rawr. Some of us are perfectly normal people who have done more to fix things that blog about it. It's not like there are any other decent game sites to go, because game journalism is so bad. |
