Lemme tell a TDARCOS style story-joke inspired by your visits to this site:
An old man is sitting on a bench by the Greyhound bus depot.
A young man steps off the bus and greets the old man, "Hey, I've taken a job in this town, can you tell me what the people are like here?"
"What are the people like back home?" asks the old man.
"Oh they're selfish, vindictive, and petty, I couldn't wait to get away from them!"
"I'm sorry," says the old man, shaking his head, "you'll find that the people here are just the same."
A half hour later a different bus pulls into the depot. Another young man asks the old man a similar question.
"What are the people like back home?" asks the old man.
"Oh they're wonderful. Warm and caring people always ready to laugh. I was sorry to have to leave."
"Well you're in luck," replies the old man with a smile, "you'll find that the people here are just the same." |
