Also: no actual HotS features used by fabio 03/17/2013, 3:23pm PDT 2 widow mines and a couple medivac afterburners, I guess. So tried a dozen more multiplayer games. Medivac afterburners will be nerfed at some point. Mothership core is cool, but now that they took out vortex the full mothership isn't that great anymore. I think I'd rather just have the more mobile core. Vipers are a very fun mix of queens and defilers from Brood War. Dug in tanks and colossi have something to fear now. Nobody is using zerg swarm hosts. They don't do their job very well and they're just not worth the cost. The problem is any position well defended enough to require a siege will mow down the spawns before they can do anything. Also at siege range their lifespan is half gone by the time they get there unless you buy an expensive upgrade. You're better off just waiting for vipers who handle defended positions much better until the eventual brood lords. Maybe if the swarm hosts spawned 3 broods instead of 2? They're just not enough to overwhelm anything for the cost.
