No link because it's not on YouTube, but the ad was something about these mysterious eyes that would look into the windows of a middle aged lady's house, and she was running away from them? With a green pepper in her hand maybe? And she was slowly being driven crazy. The commercial was scored by "Funeral March of a Marionette", aka the Alfred Hitchcock Presents theme music and the whole thing effectively sold the game as much more than the Amidar/Qix-on-Rails that it actually was. 6-year-old me bought it, and the survival horror aspect seemed to have been purely fabricated, outside of the 5 second intro snippet of Alfred Hitchcock music and the bad guy pixels looking like roving eyes.

That's from memory, 30 years ago, so when this commercial retelling is proven wrong, I will not be surprised.
