Objectively good, not just in comparison to the low standards of modern movies. Almost like it was the 90s again! The best speculative sci-fi action movie since Minority Report.

Creative concepts of how to track down your future self. The only hiccups were a couple of plot holes (how does one character know the main character is a future hitman?) and a repeat of Minority Report's whole chicken before the egg paradox.

It'll probably end up making a tenth of whatever shitty young adult book series gets adapted next.

Yeah I liked it a lot also. The scene where the Joseph Gordon-Levitt's buddy lets his loop run and how they go about getting him to come back was creepy as hell and really well done. Although I don't really get why they couldn't just kill the young version, since we know by the end of the movie that killing the younger version vanishes the future version from the timeline anyway... so why not just shoot him in the head and be done with it?

What they went with made for a better scene, but yeah that speech about how killing him would mess up the future, but mortally crippling him wouldn't?

Did they ever explain how the woman knew all about loopers?

At the end, Joseph could have just shot off his trigger finger =

I really liked how they did the two instances of his future self coming back (the punch looked a little the lame the 2nd time though).

So kid becomes monster because he grew up without a mother -> mother was killed by loopers because the kid grew up to become a monster -> what started it to begin with?
