But what was once groundbreaking in 1982 is common to the point of trite in 2010. 1982 special effects emulating 1982 graphics versus the uncanny valley of 2010 special effects emulating 1982 graphics which bear no resemblance to anything recognizable to people under 30. It was like an unfinished Zack Snyder movie where they hadn't erased the motion capture ping pong balls yet so they painted over them with glowsticks.
