Christ, Tdarcos, we want to know if you HAM! What would a Tdarcos pirate broadcast be like?
I can't answer for Christ, he'll have to give his own answer as I've never worked with him.
But I did think about getting my ham ticket, the problems were (and I'm sure I've repeated this elsewhere), the electronics knowledge requirement and the minimum Morse code requirement. They've since eliminated the requirement for Morse at the Novice and Technician Class licenses, (and made Novice renewable), but I got interested in computers long before I rose above the requirement for the electronics part of the license.
Further. if you have a license you shouldn't do pirate radio as it's very likely if you get caught, the FCC would pull your ticket for knowingly operating unlicensed equipment. Your expensive equipment you spent time building from kits or bought commercially either has to be sold, mothballed until you get your license back, or disposed of since you can't use your transmitter any more.
