Again, as ICJ pointed out, the guy mentions his parenthood to underscore that a video game -trailer- was masterful enough to make a jaded consumer of entertainment feel vulnerable, vice fishing for sympathy or outrage. Is he gilding the lily? Sure, QT3 definitely encourages that, and he deserves some scorn on that account. But you've decisively thrown in your lot with the Cables and Worm if you're going to place a narrow emotional range at the top of your register. |
