The camera's like DMC1's, but it adjusts the angle slightly to try to get whatever you're locked onto into view. So far I haven't run into any angle problems as bad as fighting Phantom in the church, but very often you have to judge whether an enemy's left by whether the battle music (some crunchy metal riff with a gravelly-voiced goth dude grumbling about how he's going to eat your soul) is still playing. Nothing as overtly horrible as ninja Gaiden's camera.

And before you ask, the attack combos are still timing-dependent.

I've scratched my way to level 5 and so far there's nothing cheap about the game's difficulty. Enemies are NG-tough and the bosses are even tougher.
