I considered this! by Ray of Light 06/20/2010, 9:28am PDT But it was about $40 for the board + $25 power brick + $20 more for case/volume knob/binding posts, when for $99 I can buy the assembled product. It's probably like building a PC, in that the $85 DIY will have better parts than the $99 assembly. If I knew anything about what makes a good amp and enjoyed metalworking, maybe I would have done that.
